My other LFS doesn't hire males. Sad, but true.

Now I must ask, why don't they hire males?

It's either a really shotty coincidence, or, more than likely, the guy that owns the store just likes pretty college girls working for him. That aside, he knows his stuff, so I still buy my fish and reptiles from him.

I work at wildwoods in London (crews hill-www.wildwoods.co.uk) Been working there about a year now, its good fun, unless you get stuck cleaning splash trays! worst job ever
But working with all different fish is good.

Would have done it when I was younger as a part time thing tho.

Vixen, are you the tanned girl that is always sitting at the till ?? Just say that as I dont see many girls working at Wildwoods

Sounds like racisum to me you should sue them and make them hire males. Stand up for the males.

no, i dont , im 14 but id like to as a temporary job while i study to become a plumber

one shop near me ( theres like 4 ) is the best. They tell me what is compatible with what, tank sizes needed and encourage people not to buy fish if theyre not compatible. The owner is a guy named Frank and he's very truthfull, and i hope when im old enough i can apply there.

The other 3 pet shops are : Pets@Home ( pff not working there )
Sixhil aquatics : got an attractive shop design, overprice things ( like 10 neons = £10 ... HA! )
Dave's Aquatics : He owns very large fish and keeps them in very small small tanks, and when i was asking him about the type of fish i'd of liked to buy ( green spotted puffer ) he simple grunted and said yeh sure, and i walked out and researched them and found there non community and need a bigger tank than mine, so i havnt been there since

The aquatic shop i like the best would do well if it was more attractive , his shop coveres are old boards that are all recked and his windows are all mouldy, but when you get in the shop it's alot better.
