The tank of the year contest is extremely difficult to vote for all of the tanks are beautiful.
It's hard to decide whether you vote for how it looks, how well it's planned out, how well someone keeps track of water changes and parameters, whether or not you like the stocking, etc...
Lots of things to consider and a hard choice to be sure...

I just go by looks and how healthy it is

In February, the TOTM contest will feature tanks sized at 31 gallons and larger.
January will feature tanks sized at 17 to 30 gallons.
