who here hates taking the lid of there fish tanks?

LOL yup annoying isn't it I must admit has anyone ever managed to do a water change without getting SOME water on the floor, the GF just sighs and walks away when I start doing changes

Crikey, TELL me about it!! ;)

you can always tell when I have been doing a water change cause I am COVERED in water, my feet are wet from standing in pools of water and pouring water all over me...I keep missing the bucket with my gravel vac and vaccing all over the floor....cripes, I can't manage it very well at all...good job I'm not too house proud...the carpets need a good wash with a proper carpet cleaner now..!!

And I thought I was the only one who managed to clean the floor with the fish tank water during a change/clean. Still with my tank I can do a water change without removing the lid (so that's one less puddle) as it has these feeding squares in the top which I use.. But when I do remove the lid, water cascades onto the floorboards.

my aquarium lid stinks it has holes for the air tubes :D but pinches the tubes so air doesnt flow so i cant use it

My tank has sliding glass doors under the wooden lid so unless I leave these open I dont get the drips.

My oscar tank DOES have this problem though  :X :sly:

Are you a fishy breeder geeza? said:
he he...I hate it cause as soon as the lid is off my tanks, the cat is in there..!!

when I'm trying to move things from one tank to the other I have to be very careful with both lids open..! ;)
Did your cat ever jump up without realizing the lid was off and fall in? Mine has--twice! It was so funny!

I hate taking the lid off mine so much, my lid has not been smoothened so I have 3 cuts and counting, imagine if it was saltwater!
