I wish we had a nice tank at work

I do keep 2 bettas on my desk though.

Who has a tank at their work? and if possible, please describe or show pics.

:)

I have a betta at work. Pink, with blue fins. I named him Aroon, which is Thai for either "pearl" or "dawn"...I can't remember!
He's in a 2 gallon "critter keeper" tank. I keep wanting to get Java fern for him, but then I forget to bring the light to work (the pet shop is just down the street from the office, so I could get the plant at lunch IF I ever get the light set up!)

The only pictures I have are huge, and take a good half minute to load with DSL. But if you want to see, here 'tis. This was taken when he was at home, whilest I was unemployed.

I have black gravel, instead of rocks now. And no lid on it, so the filter will fit. But other than that, it's about the same.

My favorite teacher(music teacher) has a 15 gallon i think, its pretty nice, just has some tetras in it and i go and talk to him about fish whenever we're on a break or w/e

My company doesn't have a policy against keeping fish, but when I brought it up with the director of facilities she said, "I don't think it's a good idea." But she's one of those crazy anti-social people that can't stand change, so...

Meh.

I have a 1 gallon tank with a betta in it on my desk at work...the picture isnt that clear because I took it using my crummy camera phone.

When I was in 7th and 8th grade in the library that have a huge 75 or 80 gallon tank with all kinds of fish in it. But they all died because the heater broke in the middle of the school year and the library is pretty cold with the air conditioning. And they all died because they didn't put a new heater in until after about2 weeks and all the fish were dead by then.

Ravekiss, where did you get that 1g tank from for your betta? And how do you heat it?
I would love another betta but i already have one in my 10g and my 92g is way to big for a little fella.

I have a 1g tank and I got it at walmart. And for a betta you don't need to heat it. But if you wanted to you could get a 25 watt heater which you can also get from walmart.

Reckon if you live in Kentucky, it's a bit warmer than in the Isle Of Wight(y) :dunno:

Yeah it is warmer but in my house we have the a/c on at like 76 or78 and it gets pretty cold in here but on my 1/2 gallon fish bowl I have a lamp over it to keep it warm and on my2.5 with the hood light on it stays around 79.

my teacher has one white cloud in a .5 gallon no filter haha

My 5th grade teacher has a 50G cube.
That was the first time I cleaned an aqurium. I thought it was sooo cool.
She stocks it very lightly and currently she only has 9 neons and a few male guppies.
I think its weird to strike up a convo of anything else, so we usually talk about fish....
