Who can identify this little fish?

Hi all,
I just purchased this little guy from the pet shop but the shop attendant was not able to tell me what he is. He was in with the guppies but hes clearly not a guppy, any help would be greatly appreciated

That looks like some kind of Barb to me. Possibly a Tin Foil Barb?

I’m a junior aquarist compared to other members and only commenting due to me seeing a fish very similar today when I was buying some fish. Looks exactly like some of the small white skirt tetras I seen today at petsmart...

It's a tetra, not quite sure what type though!

I agree, it's a tetra. The give away is the adipose fin, that tiny fin on its back just in front of the tail. But as for which one, I don't know. It looks a bit like white skirt (aka white widow) tetra or even diamond tetra.

My older brother has some lamp eye tetras in a small tank in his sunroom and they have that red on the eye but they all have a thick black color stripe on their tail..unless they color the tail and fins up as they age
