My Oscar's tank has a ton of little white worm-looking things on the sides and bottom...they're about half the size of a pinky finger's nail, but they're everywhere! They're also starting to appear in my 10 gallon tiger barb tank....I can't find ANY information on these things! Anyone know what they are and if they're dangerous or just a nuisance?

Use flubenol 15. I'm by no means an expert but apparently it kills all those small organisms and parasites. However do not use it if you have ornamental snails as they will die.

My guess is that they are planaria. They are non-parasitic worms that are just a symptom of too much uneaten food in the gravel. You can reduce their numbers by using a gravel vac or syphon, and reduce the amount of food that you are feeding your fish, or cut it down to every other day. In the wild, most fish eat far less than many fish in captivity, and they could go without food for a week, and be fine.

Sounds like my problem...I'll get right on those gravel vacs. Thanks!!
