I noticed today that my betta has tiny white spots all over his fins. It almost looks like dandruff. I can't provide a picture, but does anyone have a clue what it could be or how to treat it?

pH is 7 and I change 50% of the water weekly. I got the fish about three weeks ago. Thanks!

It's simple. I sounds like you got whitespot.

Just treat it with general white spot treatment. Although you might wanna wait for other advice. As I haven't had to treat a betta with whitespot before.

Yeah def sounds like white spot. just pop down to your lfs and get some white spot treatment. :good:
Just read the instruction and do what it says dont over do it.

Does it look like somebody sprinkled sand? Because my betta has it and I am 85 percent sure it is violet (oodom-something or other
It might also be a type of fungus. You should search a little more before rushing out to your lfs to buy a gazillion treatments (made that mistake... I found out I had the worng treatement, and the disease that I thought wasnt really the disease my fish had)
