White Spots On Bogwood

i was reading that some people have white spots on there bogwood does anyone know what it is as i also have it on my bogwood after plants but even stranger my snails??? All my fish seem to be ok just wondering what it is can anyone help me in answering this???

white spots on new mopani wood is normally a fungus that will not survive under water for long but never seen it on bog wood or anything else sorry.
any new wood that goes into my tank is soaked for at least a month and scrubbed with a wire brush .

If the spots are the size and shape of sesame seeds they are probably Nerite Snail eggs (if you have any Nerites in your tank). Maybe a picture would yield better responses?
