hi all

my blue rams have white spot and i have been treating them with "interpet white spot". ive added 2 doses as required in the last week and ive also increased the temperature to 80F with no real success.
i have been reading that aquarium salt could be the answer to my problems. the only problem is that i have 2 week old krib fry swimming around my fish tank.
was just wondering if the salt would harm the little guys or should i just try another white spot treatment.
any help on this one would be really appreciated!!

thanks again guys

Alfie

There are a lot of medication resistant strains of ich about, so if it hasn't cleared up by the end of the course (and you should follow it to the end) you should switch to a different one.

Do not use salt with rams, as they are very intolerant of it; btw, you should have your temperature at at least 80°F all the time for rams.

ill hold of with the salt. thanks for the advice. ive only got the water a bit cooler as ive got rosy barbs in the tank too. the guy in the fish shop told me to set the water at 25c - 77f. so now im a bit perplexed with what to do. my fish are, 2 blue rams, 6 rosy barbs a flying fox and 2 kribs with their fry. again, the guy in the shop said that they are all compatable with each other. you think i should leave the temp as it is or down or up???
help!!
lol
