Fish are stressed when ill.
How long have you add them.

oh they are quiet new, i got them thursday. but never had honeys so shy, i thought it may be down to that but they come out only when im not in eyeshot, does this still apply to stress? :/ ?

It can take a while for fish to calm down when there not used to you.
It sounds like stress due to a new enviroment.

oh good news, dont we just love mothers, my mums just been out and got me some med for the fish :) ive got myxazin by waterlife as they didnt have pimifix.

so ill be treating them with that after i do a water change in 5.

x

and ok thanks wilder, x

Try and get the pimafix even if you have to order it online.
Good luck.

why? couldnt i just use double the dose of waterlife then? :/

im going on holiday this week so want to save up, have bought 4 water and med products this week, is it really needed for another med that treats the same thing?

:/

Don't doube dose the waterlife med you could harm the fish.
Just try the myxazin but if no improvement in three days you will need the pimafix aswell.

ok, well an update and things have definatly improved, a little but yes improved. the biggest female lost all her colour (no dark brown line across her belly) and was very pure and pale. now she has a brown stripe, not half as dark as the smaller female but its a sign shes getting better, and also you can see her white spot has got a little smaller and is blochy like its clearing up. thats the only way i can describe it anyway. ill give them the last treatment tomorow and then keep my fingers crossed that they will make it through while im away. then continue the treatment.

as for the other female the spot seems to be 'blochy' aswell so thats good and is almost near her skin colour (which is fab news!)

then for the male, i cant seem to find the spot at all! :D it may be there still, but is very faint.

so all improving. just fingers crossed that they will cope through 11 days untill i get back :/ :)

will start the treatment again as soon as i get back if need be. x

thanks for all your help wilder, my fish wouldnt have been able to feel and get better without you :good: thanks so much x

The brown lines on the fish are they fluffy looking.

anyway ,... update :)

iv been out and got totally new plants that look great and i am after some floating plants and some more neon tetras as i now am on two existing tetras seems some had an incident when i changed round the substrate about a month ago. :(
my honey gouramis white spot is still there but im not sure its just a marking on their heads thats like a loss of scales as my friends fish have it for a few months and there has never been no concern? they have come out alot more after med has stoped and since putting more plants in they seem out even more ':) i think getting floating plants will really help :)

thanks xxx

Sometimes lfs meds are not strong enough to get rid of spots.
