Can anybody tell me if white spot treatment will kill my two day old silver molly babies?

Fry can be pretty tough things, so i would go ahead with the med.

If you are lucky they will all come through fine. They are pretty tolerable but they are still fry so there is a chance they might not make it. If you are raising the temperature I would suggest doing it slowly so that the stress from it is lessened.

I usually remove any fry from a tank which I need to medicate just to be safe, some people treat with a half dose.

i had a bad incident with my guppies and white spot, I used the treatment and raised the temperature in the tank etc and they all died, I have 2 batches of fry of well which died! :( good luck, i hope yours pull through!

Depending on what other fish you have in the tank, you might find salt and higher temps work better. I've never used medications for white spot, I've always cured it using that. :) The only drawback is you can't use salt with scaleless fish such as some Tetras, Loaches, and Catfish. The Molly fry should be absolutely fine with the salt though.

If you really do want to use medications, I would recommend you half-dose just to be safe. Don't move the fry to another tank because they may be carrying the parasite and you don't want it transferred to another tank.

Best of luck, I know how hard white-spot can be!
