If the spots were just on her tail, fins and mouth it may have been columnaris. It damages the fish's immune system and sometimes whan the spots go it can go internal.

Thanks. How do you tell if it's columnaris or white spot? My remaining molly got white spot the other day, which I treated her for and appeared to go away. I'm worried she might die now too! Thanks!

Whitespot will look like a grain of salt.
Columnaris spots will be bigger and sometimes the spot will have redness.
