Iv been watching my white molly over the past few weeks and iv noticed he seems to be getting really thin he is eating when i put the food in he is first up to be fed but he seems to be getting thinner i only checked my waters yesterday and cleaned out my tank and filter and he cant swim straight swims facing up wards anyone got any ideas what it can be.
here are my water test test results and tank mates
Results of water tests are
Ph - 6.00 ppm
High range ph - 7.4 ppm
Ammonia (nh3/nh4+) - 0.25ppm
Nitrite ( no2-) - 0 ppm
Nitrate (no3-) 0ppm

His tank and tank mates are
Fluval roma 200 (200 ltr) filter is fluval u4

Guppys
Pleco
Clown loach
Bronze cory
Peppered cory
Micky mouse platy
Mollys
Upside down catfish
Silver dollars
2 x shubunkies
1 x big goldfish

on the molly, is there any swelling on the backbone? discolouration? spots? how are the fins? his back oddly shaped?
goldfish shouldn't be mixed with tropical fish because they are considered cold water fish, and are very messy as well which is not good for tropical fish.
also for the pleco, if it is a common pleco (don't know exact name) but will grow to around 2 feet, and should be in a larger aquarium. and also a messy fish and don't prefer them personally.

also Bronze cory and Peppered cory should be in a group of 3+ minimum of their own species.

My tank is cycled its cleaned every week and is plenty big enough for them plus two of my plecs are mini ones as for my goldfish i asked lfs and researched before adding it plus iv had it over a year and its ok my corys are doing fine they hang out together or with clown loach as for my molly i have just checked on him and he has passed away i have checked for anything unusual on it and apart from being really thin it looks ok nothing odd on it apart from its fine there's nothing left somethings being nipping at him by looks of it

Do you know the species of the Pleco? If you don't then you should post in the Catfish section with a picture and people there would most likely be able to identify it for you. :)
The goldfish may seem fine but having them in tropical water has quite likely shortened their lifespan and may be stressing them out. Either take them back to your LFS, set up another BIG tank for them or put them in a pond, either your friends or if you have your own.
If you get rid of the goldfish then that will give you more room for fish and you can put the Cory's numbers up to at least 3 of each species.

Sorry about your molly.

I used to keep mollies, and this kind of thing was always happening. THere is some debate about whether they are a brackish species (ie they need a certain level of salt in the water), perhaps this is evidence that they do.

Whatever your research and (profit-driven) LFS told you, coldwater fish should not be kept at tropical temperatures, it speeds up their metabolism, and shortens their lifespan.

Just FYI, your clown loach and silver dollars grow too big for a 200l tank, I'm afraid, and both should be kept in groups of 6+

Ok iv got common plec and iv got two mini plecs the mini plecs came with my old tank and the old owner told me that wont grow very big and had them for about four years the mini plecs look like common plec but smaller .
My filter is cleaned in bucket of tank water its a fluval u 4 .
Iv had my goldfish and shubunkins over a year and they have always lived in warm water but i am getting my old tank back of my sis and them in that.
I have got 4 silver dollars 3 young ones and 1 adult iv got three clown loach but im going to invest in a bigger tank when i get the cash because i want to turn my current tank into a marine one

Personally, even if your getting a bigger tank, still rehome your common pleco. Follow this link and you'll see why:

Is that bucket of water old tank water or new tap water?

So you don't know the exact species of the mini pleco's, just that they won't get too big. Is that right? They are probably likely to be Bristlenose Pleco's.

Make sure that the goldfish do go into that tank of your sisters when you get it back and have it un-heated.
The goldfish may have always been in warm water whilst in your care but its still not preferable and should be avoided.

Its 100% water from out my tank my gold fish is going in old tank tomoz and all i know from mini plecs is that they are four years old and wont grow no bigger and the new tank im gtting is a 6 ft tank so should be big enough for the plecs

That's good that the goldfish are going as they should be happier in coldwater. But how big is that tank they're going into?

A 6ft tank sounds good but common pleco's are still not ideal...no matter the size of the tank as they're not even really that good at eating algae and when they get older they pretty much stop all together.

Google: Bristlenose Pleco.
Have a look at the images and see if they're anything like your mini pleco's.

Make sure that you are always cleaning the filter in tank water as your tap water most likely contains chlorine which will kill all the beneficial bacteria.

Yeah i never take risks always clean with tank water the tank is tropiquarium 68 i think its 72 litres or 78 not sure the mini plecs are black with white spots iv had them a year and they havent grew the old owner had them 4 years before me so they are about five years old and are probally slightly smaller than your hand

Sounds good although it may be too small for the goldfish as they do grow big! All I would say is make sure you know someone that has a pond so then when they get too big you can give the goldfish to them.
That's good that its always in rank water as a lot of people do think its better to clean it in tap water, which it definitely is not.
I'm not sure what type of pleco that is then and hopefully someone else will be able to maybe identify it for you. :)

When i get chance il try to post pic of plecs my goldfish is pretty big know but i knw someone wiv a pond
