Fish Herder
Hi, my Common Pleco has white marks under his pectoral fins. I noticed tham a few days ago and as they were the same size and shape each side I assumed it was natural markings. On the one side the white patch has grown now. The original patch was tiny and it is still small. He had a hissy fit the other day when I put 2 new plants in and was thrashing about a bit. He may have scratched himself on his piece of wood. The skin is not broken or red. I hope I have described it enough but if not I will try and get a pic. He is in a 65ukgal tank with 10 Cardinal Tetras, 9 Mollies and loads of fry (some very tiny) and a Golden Apple Snail. The stats are PH 6, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 40. The other fish are all ok. I do not know what ich looks like except from pictures as I have never had it. Any advice appreciated. Basically should I leave it and see if it goes or medicate the whole tank?
