i noticed white furry stuff growing on my suction cups on my heater and also on the nozzle of the heater, my ram ate sum of it, im hoping its grown down to to much light anyone got any ideas on this stuff.

I had this think its just a type of algae as my plec ate it all once i got him

tahs wot i hope i have a tank with about 50 baby bn in i may chuck sum in there.
 
One of my betta tanks had that the first few months it was set up. That is the one tank that doesn't have an official aquarium light. The aquarium just has a visaverse lid and I have a lamp that's turned on during the day/early evening. The fur went away on it's own. My betta never paid attention to it and there were not other fish added into the tank.
 
Just clean it off with a toothbrush.
