Please do we all like to no how a fish is getting on, good luck.

Thought things were going well but now seem to be changing their mind.

I have been giving Mr Slimy salt baths for about 30 mins every day & added aquarium salt the the tank as directed on the bag. HE seemed to be doing better with only small spots remaining on his body. Where there is still areas it is clumping up & falling off. He is looking a little more bloated than usual but is still eating. No clamping or sratching.

 Problem is now one of my other Mollies has a cluster of white scales near one of his gills. Now this looks like Columnaris. He is hiding in a corner behind a plant. He did come out for feeding though.

Water stats are:

10 US gal 4 Black Mollies
Temp 80F
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 40
pH 7.6
Total Hardness 50
Total Alkalinity 120

Any ideas on how to treat. There are currently no meds in the tank. I treated a tank years ago & think I used Mardel's treatment for Bacterial infection but can't be positive.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I'd try and isolate. Have a look at the pins, theres something on columnaris there. Also the tank is overstocked, but that isn't the problem for now. Just keep water as clean as possible.

These 4 Mollies are the only fish in the tank. The are 3 small fake plants in the tank & a treasure chest decoration. Do you think it is overstocked? These guys are smaller, nothing fancy. They are not even 2" each. Is it because this is a smaller tank? LFS told me I could add another Molly or 2 or a couple of guppies but I haven't because I didn't want it overstocked. Could this be part of the problem?

Also, was wondering what medications people have had good luck with when treating Columnaris?

Thanks again.
