On a previous post of mine, I found I had freshwater limpets in my tank.

Now i have discovered these little white dots all on the suction pads from my filter. are these the eggs of the limpets ?

May seem like an out of context question but, do you have a nerite snail?

I did once have a nerite snail, but gave it away about 2 or 3 months ago (because it was constantly eating the driftwood and pooing everywhere)

Nerite snail eggs....limpets are so small, I doubt their eggs would be visible to the naked eye, anyway

Shame you gave away the nerite, great little snails for algae control...and, they don't "eat" DW, they forage upon it

im rather surprised its Nerite snail eggs, as the snail went months ago. do you know how long can the eggs can last for ? I know they wont hatch as I think I’m right in saying nerites need brackish water hatch ?

Tbh the snail wasn’t that good at clearing up the algea, I had in the tank. and i’m unsure why as there wasn’t a great amount of it
