White Clusters On Tank Silicon And Filter Tubes

Yeah I use the strip tests... I haven't seen the liquid tests here in Ireland, but I will have to keep my eyes peeled for it or ask my LFS if they could order it in for me. I never even thought that the strips could be giving me incorrect results. Hopefully I can make it there within the next few days and will post and let you know.

Thanks

just a quick note while i had whitespots appearing on the inside of my tank which was only about a week old a had a chat ast my shop and he said that i had over fed and this was the the rwesult so did not feed for 3 days whiespot cleared up no problem now

Cool thanks for the input. I don't think that I am over feeding them. I give them very little and they manage to eat it all under 2 minutes... and I feed them twice a day. I just recently bought an automatic timer and have yet to get it running properly. I will have to do something to it because it spits out way too much food on the lowest setting that it has. I will have to figure out a way to correct it.

I went to the LFS but the guy I normally talk wasn't there, so if I get a chance tomorrow, I will venture there again to try to get some final answers.

The good news is that the white spots haven't come back yet since I cleaned the tubes... so hopefully my tank is trying to right itself.
