White Cloudy Matter/fungus ? On My Redwood Root

I have what looks like a white cloudy matter/fungus ? on my Redwood Root any idear what it might be and the best way to get rid of if you do ?

Thats fairly normal on newly submerged redmoor root, it does subside after a while, you can just rub it off, but I found my bristlenose plec loved the stuff, as did apple snails.
