White Clouds & Platys... Compatable?

Hi everyone,

I just bought two red platys and was wondering if they would be ok in the same tank as my white cloud.

You shouldnt have a problem with the two. Just to be safe keep an eye on them for a few days.

Platys and Swords are great tank mates for white clouds. You really should have more than 1 white cloud though. They are schooling fish from what I've been told and like company. When I added more than 2{6 total} their colors got brighter for some reason.

hello, white clouds should be in a school of 5-6 the feel safer so theyre colours show,

if hes on his own hell go sulking in the darkest part of the tank, get some, it wont hurt!

i've had the white cloud for about 6 years. all his brothers and sisters died of old age and his time is probably coming pretty soon, so i don't want to buy any more white clouds. he seems to be doing all right- he's very active, and the three fish (platys & him) swim around the tank together. it's kind of cute

anyway, i think im going to get a couple of otos for the tank. are they best in pairs or in groups of 4?
