What can I use to get this off. I bought the tank used this am. I went to Petsmart and bought the safe and easy glass cleaner but it's not working, any ideas.

Getting worried now. I have used the vinegar and the bottle from PS and It's not coming off. do you think filling the tank and soaking awhile might loosen it up? I thought it would come right off.

What kind of vinegar did you use? They're not all created equal. White wine vinegar and heat is the only thing I've found that can fight hard water stains.

Apple cider straight out of the bottle.

I tried that early this morning didnt work.
Went to Ace hardware and bought lime away, if that dont work I'm going to scrap the tank. I dont want a cloudy tank. Thanks for your help.

Not tried a plastic scouring pad ??

Some are on foam some just plain waffle sized piece

Give it a dang good seeing to on a few pots n pans (clean ones) this softens them somewhat

Then go like crazy with some vinegar etc and it should soon come off

The lime away should be able to remove the hard water stain.
Don't forget you are using a chemical attack rather than a physical one. It will take significant contact time for any chemical to work on those stains.
The next problem will be assuring that none of that nasty stuff is left behind to harm your fish. Rinse, rinse and then rinse again after using it.
