i have some white cloud minow and they have laid some eggs in one of the plants in my tank, is it ok to remove the plant with the eggs and ut it into an empty tank. there are many other fish in the tank that the eggs are currently in and i dont want them to get eaten

aslong as you keep the eggs wet is the empty tank cycled if not get an airstone and do daily waterchanges

thanks for the advice, change of plan, i'm going to cut off the section of plant with the eggs on and put it in a breeeding trap

Definately minnow eggs? As far as i know they are egg scatterers and wouldn't direct them at anything, you may have more dotted about your substrate...
How bigs your tank and whats in it?
Any way you could move all the fish from this tank and use it purely for fry raising?
Then again i'm no breeder.

well, these are the first minnows i have ever kept so i dont know what the eggs look like really. i knew they were egg scatters and did think it was a bit stragne they were in the plant, but the only other fish in the tank are platys. I also found 6 (but keep finding more) platy fry :D which is cool because we only got the platy's yesterday
