White Cloud Minnows

I really have no idea about setting up a biotope lol But it sounds something that would interest me, as I've seen biotopes on youtube for them and it's nothing but different sizes of rocks, though I do not know where to find them.

Would it be overstocked if I had 15 White Clouds, and 3 Pepper cory cats? could they do well at the same temperature?

You should not put regular sized corydoras in a 10 gallon, it's too small for them. Plus, cories need to be in schools larger than 5 so no, it's not a good idea. Stick with the pygmy varieties. Get some pygmies (6-8) and leave your stock of minnows as is. Make sure to do weekly water changes of 50%. Cories will not like too cool of a temp but both will be fine at 75-76F.

lol, no not in a 10 gallon. a 20 gallon tall tank.

Oh, oops, yes that will be fine :good: but you might want to have 5 cories...still may be a bit small for the regular sized ones but it's your call.

Good luck!

hey mate, you could easily get 5 more. Dont worry bout the inch per litre rule, by that standard i.m over in all my tanks. Just do water changes often and clean your filter once a week. :)

About how much of the water should I change each week? :)

Also, I thought white clouds were supposed to be schooling fish? they seem to chase each other a lot lol

20- 30% every 5 days i do, and clean filter every 2 times. Yeah mine chase too. I got danios and guppies and they all bomb around like lunatics. Try getting an air pump too, they seem to love fast flow

50%. I always do my water changes on Wednesdays. You can do less, it's up to you but I will say that in years past, I use to change less than 50% and I had issues with fish loss. I don't have that issue anymore. White clouds do school but the males like to display to each other and get caught up in "showing off" sometimes rather than staying with the rest of the school. You might have a lot of males.

Yeah I noticed that. I recently purchased 8 more Golden Clouds as well. unfortunantly two of them died. :( For some reason they don't seem to be as aggressive. It's the normal white clouds in my tank that usually do all the chasing. then again, they could be mostly males. I think my golden clouds are mostly females.
