well I don't like to be like other people, I am my own person, my husband likes it and the tank was a birthday present for me, so I had to make it my own. I plan on doing more with it, just need to find the right plants, thinking of growing my own

Nothing wrong with that

The local Petsmart stores around here have many live plants to choose from.

Here is my Spongebob themed tank

I couldn't find a replica of Patrick's house, that was the only one they were missing! I'm going to see if I can find one down by the river.

Shouldn't Patrick's rock house be to the right of Squidward's house opposite Spongebob's pineapple?
That's what I meant, to the right of Squidward's house. Patrick's house would be pretty simple to make, just find a very round rock, get it cut in half & put a TV antenna on it.

Yea, might have to wait until spring, river is pretty cold this time of year, lol. Right now I am settling for the flying dutchman's ship...lol

Gotcha. I'll post some pics of my 2 tanks when I get a decent camera. Cell phone pics won't do them justice.

yea, my cell phone took okay pictures of the tanks, but my camera makes the pictures too big to upload...sucks

If you upload your camera photos to Photobucket.com or Flickr you can resize them there.

I think the tanks look great and very unique.

I have gravel in two of my tanks, and sand in the other two. After working with the sand, I plan on making the switch in the other two tanks when I get time. I really like the look of sand and gravel is too difficult to keep clean.

If they are fake plants then they might be safe. If they are real, I bet my house on them lasting no longer than a few weeks at the most before they start rotting.
They are very clearly not real just based on the look...not to mention that it was already stated that they are not real plants.

I haven't tried sand yet, what would be involved with putting sand in the tank?

Gravel, on account of continuously syphoning sandy residue out of my old tank. User error, no doubt... :p
