I was just in my LFS and bought little clear tetras with a yellow stripe the length of their bodies. After getting them home the black stripe beneath is now more prominent. They also have little orange tails. The guy in the shop thought they were either Emperor Tetras or Black Neon Tetras?
What do you think from the description.I'll do a couple of pics later if needed.

A few pics might help.

Only a little bit of the tail is red so i don't think its a Bloodfin tetra(Aphyocharax anisitsi).I'll pop back in the shop tomorrow to see if i can find out more, but i'm sure someone here will give me a definitive answer.

It looks like rasbora borapetensis or the common name is red-tailed rasbora.

It looks like we have a winner......(tetra  !!!)

I went in the shop to buy Harlequin Rasboras but as there were a couple of dead ones in the tank i didn't bother.then my 5 year old daughter spotted these. They have a line of yellow, her favourite colour, and, what Sarah wants,Sarah gets(mostly). So i got Rasboras after all.

Thanks Supersalmon.(and a good Northern Ireland man too)
