welcome to tff. I have a shrimp and snail tank going. its got red cherry and crystal red shrimp. got the tank from pets at home. its 28ltr. came with a filter but the out flow was way too strong. a simple air pump driven filter is best. small heaters are available on ebay pretty cheap. sand or fine gravel are best. went with the latter also from pets at home. bog wood and java moss are a must. and catapa leaves will help the shrimp breed better. that's just my experience by the way some peoples experience may be different. heres a picture of my set up hope you get some inspiration from it.

Hello and welcome!  It really depends how much you want to spend on a tank, how much room you have and what kind of tank you like.  I got an Interpet Fish Pod 48 litre (from pets at home) which has a bow front that tends to slightly increase the visual size of the shrimp.  This tank comes with a filter (although not ideal for small shrimp), a heater and effective lighting!  I wanted a shrimp only tank but soon changed my mind and ended up getting quite a few small, peacefull fish that are compatible with shrimp so was pleased I went for a larger tank.

Otherwise, you can pick up a small tank with a filter for under £25! A search online can get you a heater for just over £5.

You have lots of options really :)

I am currently setting up a shrimp tank in a BioOrb Flow 15litre tank. Still cycling at the moment.

Just to give you an idea.........
