Hello, everyone! I'm new here, but I'm always on your forums for information so I figured I'd join.
Well, here goes: Which spiny eel is this?

I apologize for the quality, but that's him. You can see his tail fin, but it sort of blends in with the rest of the fin which throws me off.
Anyways, my boyfriend went to Petsmart today to get a Peacock Eel (it was a "you're an awesome girlfriend gift" or an "I'm sorry for whatever I did this time" gift. They're all the same to me.) So, he comes home and Ta Da! This eel doesn't have the dots that the peacock eel is known to have. My best guess is that it's a Zig Zag or Tire Track eel. I could live with a Zig Zag, but my tank is a 55 gallon tropical community tank. Obviously, a Tire Track is unacceptable.
So, what do you think?
