First let me say that I know very little about plecs and have no personal experience with them, but I have been doing a lot of reading lately. I want to put a small, interesting looking plec into the 33 gal tank in my sig. I want to keep it small and have narowed things down to the following choices that I know I can get hold of. I would be interested to hear what you have to say about these fish, personal experiences, and if you think that they would be good choices for my tank. Which would you pick?

L129 Colombian Zebra Pleco
L183 Starlight Bristlenose Catfish
L134 Leopard Frog Pleco

Hello,
Thus, i think it sounds silly, but i dont know how long 33 gal are.I´m from Germany, we have got cm.
But i maintain 134. They are very pretty, need a tank of ca.80cm.
They´re easy to care, Temprature should have 27°C-29°C
But they need a few excavate. They like it to live in a small group of 3-5 animals.
If your aquarium is big enough, you could care about more.

you completly left candy stripe pleco's out of your choicing.

Candy stripe plec would definitely be on there if I could find them. The list is of the ones I know I can get.

i just bought a leopard frog and a sultan plec.im just waiting for them to be shipped

Hey ho you both.
If you can´t get the L-15 , look for the LDA67 or L-162.
In shops you can often buy L15, but in real they are the panaquolus maccus (L-162)
With 90 cm, you realy can maintain some catfish to perhaps 15cm, you see, it mussnt be a small plec :hey:

Other realy nice plecs are L-201 L-66(King Tiger) L-18 and so on... look, www.l-welse.com
The´re so much nice plec, you can´t all enumerate.
Do you plan them to nationalize(?) with other fish?
Many greetings
Robin
