You might want to supplement their diet with blanched lettuce or cucumber. Otherwise they are likely to try to get their greens from your plants.

blanched lettuce? Zuccini good too? I'd think that'd be easier than cucumber.

I've read zuccini is better for them than cucumber. I usually buy whichever one's on sale, heh.

i have 6 ottos in my tank along with amano shrimp and they clean up and eat anything on the bottom or glass. and they love veggies

Courgette (I'm english remember? lol), cucumber, blanched lettuce, shelled peas, all are good and all will be enjoyed.
