I am going to buy a jbj nano cube soon! Gonna make it brackish water for bumblebee gobies The question I have is; is there still a quality issue with the 12 gallon nano or has it been definately resolved. I don't want to spend so much on a tank that will crack on me. I have no problem with the 6 gallon setup so I will buy it if it's suggested. Also, do the nightview LED's that come standard on the 6 gal make a difference for the fish? Or are thay more of a cosmetic product?

Let me know what you think!

P.S. I know it's not reef related but I think the users of this forum will have more knowlege about the tank its self than on other forums!

Thoughts:
1) cracking issues were minimul on the 12G; it was the 24G that has most of the problems
2) When choosing a nano, always choose the largest volume possible unless you are up for the challenge of a small tank
3) moonlights are mostly for us unless you are trying to get various corals or specific species of fish that rely on a moon cycle to spawn

JBJ Nano cubes are nice, but isn't a bit over-kill for bumblebee gobies? If you are going to get one, get the 12G and get 3 yellow bean gobies or 3 neon gobies or something like a goby/pistol shrimp pair?

For some Bumblebee Gobies something simple like an Aqua-One Aqua 40 or similar small tank would sustain 2 or 3 bumblebee gobies easily.

Either way you go the only thing to remember if you are going to run a small tank, that it isnt necessarily harder, just higher maintanence. More water top-offs, water changes, parameter checks etc.

Yeah I know it's overkill for bumblebees but I would like to have the option of making a reef tank in the future! And I can only have a small tank in my new apartment that I'm moving into tomorrow! So I want the best!

Ok thats fair enough then!

Get the JBJ 12G so that when you do move over to a reef you have plenty of space for corals and a couple of fish.

Just remember, whilst you are running it brackish, dont use any copper based medications! Also you *could* use coral sand with bumblebee gobies as their wild pH is around 8-8.2 anyway.

If you get the 12G then you could have a group of 6 bumblebees in there i reckon.

O.K. I bought the 12 gallon. Looks Great!

I now might want to put Dwarf Puffers in though! Choices Choices Choices.

Thanks for your help
