Which Sealant?

I managed to put a large crack in the base of my spare external filter when cleaning it and am now wondering which type of product would be best to repair it as I'm doubtful that boggo silicone aquarium sealant would be up to it long term. Does anyone know of anything pretty hardcore that would do the job?

Superglue if you have all the parts, or it IS just a crack, or epoxy resin if you need to fill any holes !

Buy a BRANDED "thin" (runny) one... and flex the crack to work it in

Will do, was thinking about adding a thin layer of silicone after the glue has dried, can't hurt can it?

Not needed... and Id worry in case it broke free and clogged the impeller
