I have a 30 gallon tank with a small angel, 3 opaline gouramis and a neon.
I was wondering what would be a suitable livebearer for my tank, I'm looking for somthing colourful but somthin thing would also breed ( stop reading now if your a vegeterian:shifty: ) and my angel and gouramis could eat some of the fry, and leave a few to grow up.
There could also be some algea eaters put into this tank soon.

And when i say 'a suitable livebearer' i mean 2 males and a female.

you only have 1 neon and they need to be in groups of 5 plus to be happy.Idealy over 8 is a good number.7
Neons are an angelfishes natural diet so the angels might eat the neon!

mabe a pair of dwarf platies might be good.As they are small and hardy.

but i wouldnt choose guppies. As the long tail might get nipped by the angelfish

2 males and 1 female is not suitable for any livebearer as the female might be harassed to death, you need 2 or 3 females for each male.
I think platys would seem to be a good choice though.

I'm in agreement with the others, you need to either get about 6 more neons or get rid of the one you've got. In the long run the latter may be more humane. As for livebearers I'd suggest maybe 2 male and 5 female Endler's livebearers (the king of all livebearers!) Endler's are (from what I've observed) faster than most other livebearers, and I'm pretty sure they could outrun Angels and Gouramis. On the other hand, with any livebearer it would be adviseable to have a spare tank for when they give birth, so you can transfer the fry and the mother to the spare - the females will get very tired and slow down, and should be given recuperation time.
