Which Is Which?

Second is a 'common bristlenose'

And how big should I expect them to get?

First 12 inches, second 5 inches.

So if I only have a 30g tank, should I take the first one back? or is he ok for my tank? Im looking in to a 50g but not for a few months

Eventually even a 50G would be small for the common pleco.

I'd take it back, the bigger they are the harder they are to rehome, you literally can't give them away
