Adult size is roughly 2 inches...same for cherry barbs.

what would be best fo0r my tank. Its a 55 gallon. 4 foot x 30cm x 45cm. 2 swordies, 2 corys, 2 opaline gourami, 5 zebra danios, 2 common plecs, 1 male gupy. I know the polll might have gone wrong but thia is my first time trying it. comments welcome

I would just up the number of your current fish: 3 more danios, 4 or 5 more cories, and 3 or 4 more swordtails. I'd also rehome the lone guppy, unless you're willing to have a group of those too.

Neons, they are a must for any community set-up, get as many as you can fit in, they look fantastic when you have lots of them :good:

Long before I go for neons, I prefer Cardinals..... Sliiiiightly bigger, and defo more colourfull!!!

More corys. They're happier in larger groups, and likely to be more active if you get more. I love my corys...

Cardinals like low Ph and mine is dark blue (quite high i think). Yeah i was wondeirng if diferent kinds of corys will shoal together? I've gotta i love mine to they have the most personality in mine tank and always get front row seats watching me with the gravel vac.

My corys love the gravel vac too! As soon as the water starts moving around, out they come, busy following the vac - at a safe distance.
Some corys will shoal together, but it's difficult to predict. I've got bronze and trilineatus, and they don't really mix. Other people say that similar sized corys will often hang out together. From watching mine, I reckon even if they don't actually shoal together, they feel more secure when there are other corys around, so I think they'd benefit from company even if it's a different species. What sort of corys do you have already?
