Hi I have a 200 litre bow front tank currently with 2 internal filters but there taking up to much room, what is the best external filter for this size tank, its in my bedroom so filter noise is a problem, but more than anything I want crystal clear water . Thanks

Crystal clear water is near impossible in a living fish tank, but by adding more filter floss to a filter (or use a small internal filter full of the stuff, changing weekly) can help keep it that little bit more 'polished'.
As for the filter, I am a Fluval fan...a little research should point you in the right direction. You may also want to look at Eheim, which is another great make (some say quiete, also).

Terry.

I have a fluval in a tank in my room now, barely noticeable I love it.

Just out of curiosity can I ask which Fluval filter you have now?

Internal U4 or an external filter like a 206 or 306?

I did have internal Fluval filter before, a decent filter and easy access to media inside as well as having 3 flow output options as well. I use external filters now. :)

Brought an eheim 2215 and I have to say it is brilliant, no more internals and more room . Really quite as well .
