Which Filter To Buy For 120L Tank?

Hi All, in my last post it became clear to me that I needed a better filter so I am looking to getting another filter as advised by most. However, I don't really know what sort of output I am after. I am currently using 2 double air driven sponge filters at an output rate of 432L/hour. My tank is 120L and I have about 10 adult guppies, 10 juvenile guppies, and 8 neon tetras.

I did a little googling and someone mentioned that a filter should have an output rate of 6x an hour of the amount of water in the tank? Kittykat mentioned that it isnt about the output rate as such but more about surface area, do sponges not have a good surface area?

The new filter will have to be cheap to run (my air pump is only 7 watts i think or less), musnt be too expensive (my filters and air pump cost me about £10 altogether) and must not be able to hurt the small fish, snails or shrimps (which I would like to keep on a later date). So I can't have really powerful filters which would suck up the fish. Would prefer an internal filter as no room to put an external one unless it can hang off the tank.

I am not bothered about brands, and would appreciate pictures if possible.

Before i set-up my 120L tank, i was advised on a couple of occasions to get an external filter for a tank that size, but as this is obviously not an option in your case, may i suggest----->

I have the small version in my 30L, efficient, quiet, reliable and so easy to move around with it's built in bracket. Hope this helps.
