Hey. I was wanting to get a fluval 404 for my 65 gallon tank. The thing is its a bit to expensive for my liking. When i went into my LFS today they had a thing called an aquaone CF1200 which was on special for half the price of the fluval. Would it be worth buying the aquaone one or should i save up for the fluval?

some infor about the aquaone CF1200:
Water turnover: 1200l/hr
Filter media capacity: 7.5 litres in 3 baskets
Media included: mini bioballs, ceramic noodles, coarse bio-sponge, fine poly pad
Max distance below water level: 1.8m
Power consumption: 35W
Filter dimensions: 22.5cmx22.5cmx50cm including taps
Impellor Shaft: ceramic
Suitable for freshwater aquariums of 200 to 400 litres, marine of up to 250 litres.

thanks

I've never heard of the aquaone cf100 but IMHO fluval are great
try ebay for cheap fluvals, I've seen many go for around £30

I would agree to look at ebay I have senn them new for less than half the price in lfs. I have a 404 on a 90gal and it has worked great fro 2yrs. Good luck.

If you are looking into eBay, you might as well look into getting either used Filstar XP3 or eheim 2217. Both are better than Fluvals.

dont settle for cheap fluvals, invest in eheims always. They will save you stress, money and fish lives in the long run. Good luck.

I have to agree that you should go with eheim. Most superior filters by far!! :D
