peppered. pandas die SOOOOOOOO easily. but the best cory is definately corydoras concolor if you can find them

I take it that you have lose a few pandas. I like the idea of the panda because they are a little smaller than the peppered.

I found Peppered to be more hardy than Pandas. I haven't lost any Peppered or Pandas but my Pandas did get finrot practically over night. Plus Peppered are cheaper, more plentiful and easier to get and keep IMO.

ive lost every type of cory almost. pandas were actually teh ones i had longest but then they died for no reason at all.

Peppereds for me/Easy to keep and easy to find replacements if needs be

 Cories

Actually I see pandas and albinos bunches (must be some breeders in my area) and peppered seldom, but they are so busy, and they are visable. I have heard that pandas and albinos are more delicate. I started with three False Spotted (leucomelas) Cories in an Eclipse 12. I never knew if they were alive or dead. They were always hiding. They come out now in a bigger tank, but the peppered/marbled "have places to be, people to see, and things to do!"

If you are kind of starting your first cories, take the ones locally stocked (ask your lfs), that are hardy, and come out to play. That's my real vote.

Cant you mix different cory species? Both my LFS said i could so i bought 2 pandas and a lepord. Ive hard them 5months and all is good. I know i need to get a 3-4 more but im saving money to upgrade to a larger tank. And i wanted a variety by buying 2 emeralds a bronze and a peppered? Is this ok or were my LFs blagging?

Edit: pandas for me everytime

They're half-way right. 3-4 of each species is more accurate and they can and will easily intermix with other Cories. They just need enough of their own species to feel more secure.

i like pandas but they are less hardy than most other corries yes peppered are bigger pandas reach 2" where as peppered reach 2.8"

I have a school of 4 Albino Cories and 1 Emerald Green Cory and they seem very active and happy. There are plenty of places for them to hide, but they dont seem to hide as much as the ones Ive had in the past. They are all small, but growing. As for the Peppered or Panda, I like the Peppered more, but I like all the species of Cories. There arent very many panda cories in the LFS's around here, they keep mostly the albinos and emerald green cories..

Thanks for the comments!

I'm still undecided but I think I will go for the Pandas, a nice little group of 5.

I will be getting a few Otos this weekend then probably get the cories the following week.

Well, I have got 3 little Pandas and 3 little Otos. They are great, so busy they rarely stop! :D
