Personally I prefer a black background, the fish show up better against it imo.

i really am not a fan of these sort of threads (its like the what fish should i add next threads) we dont have to look at your tank everyday you should really go for what you want ask others in your household to help decide.

yea i know what you neen. in my journal i explained that i liked both and couldnt make a decisen. i also asked my parents and they said the same thing lol. Whichever one i choose on the side can be changed anyway.

as for seeing the fish agaist it, its quite a dark blue, the main fish for the tank will be a pair of clowns and maybe a mandarin (sure thats how you spell it) once my tank matures etc.

thanks
for the votes though keep them coming

well we can go blue on month then we can go black the next month then we can go back to blue and so on just to keep you busy at the end of the month and then your not board lol

regards scott

lol that was kind of the plan but im sure 1 will get left there and forgotten about after a while though!

will probable go wit the black tbh but at least i can easily change it if need be.

I personally go black background and blue side just to be different from everyone else. Both my marine tanks have black backgrounds and I wouldnt change them at all. I really believe they make everything in front stand out alot more including LR fish and corals! ;)

neither. I like all black. It makes corals stand out better if the back is kept clean of coralline and other algeas. Go on RC and see how many tank of the months have blue vs black background. I could be wrong, but the ones I've looked at have black :good:

I prefer Blue for the back, I have put blue on the sides before and to be honest, it was like it was not even there when the tank has water in it, it just has a kind of mirror effect regardless of what colour you put on, I would not bother with the sides, no point if you can not see any effect.
