aha surf city, spent two weeks there in early august. warm water (19 degrees celsius) lovely surf and 24 to 27 degrees celcius in winter. life is good

The US is just so much bigger than the UK. People are more spread out, so it's harder to get together.

Heck, I don't even have time to go to the local fish society meetings!
