Hi, I just got myself some lamps for my new tank. The hood is DIY, so nothing installed yet. Can anybody tell me how much space I need to leave from the back to install the lamps?
The tank is 1 metre wide, and I have 2 T8 Dennerle Kongo-white 15 Watt (40 cm) and 2 T5 JBL Solar Ultra Natur 24 Watt (55 cm). I also have reflectors to go with these lamps. I know the T8s should go in the back as these are the plant lights, and the other two in the front as they are blueish colour. I was thinking of putting the T8s next to each other, and the T5s have to be in front of each other, because of their length.
Do I need to leave a certain space between the T8s and the T5s, or is it enough to use the reflector as a measure? The reflectors are from Juwel, and one side is longer than the other. I assume that the larger side will be located towards the front of the tank?
Thanks for all the help!
