Where To Get Tanganyikan Cichlids

Hi again,

I went to a few LFS but few have Tanganyikan Cichlids, mainly Malawi, is anything.

Is there somewhere online that is good for delivering these fish direct or is it a bad idea?

Alot of people have great success with aquabid, though I've never tried it personally!

Where are you based? I live in north Kent and know of 3 good lfs within 25 min drive that have a nice selection of Tangs. Mikes rifts is meant to be superb and he does mail order but wont guarantee certian species to arrive safely due to them being a bit fragile ( cyprochromis etc).

Thanks for the help. I'll look into aquabid.

I'm based near Swindon. One shop sells about 10 different Tanganyikan Cichlids but the rest would need to order them in.

+1 on Mikes Rifts, top bloke If you are not in a hurry he sometimes does runs to deliver to a few folk, may be near your area in the near future.

Failing that have a look at Tri-Mar , or "tropical fish finder" to get the link to Wildwoods, shame you wern't local , have a few Tangs here that I don't have space for anymore

Agree with the above tip....if you don't want to pay the rip off prices of an LFS for Tangs, this is where a lot of the specialist and hobbyist breeders list their fish.

I list my Tropheus young on there for example.
