Hi, I'm another newbie to the forum and to the tropical fish world. I've always loved tropical fish and after looking into it over the past few weeks I have today ordered myself an aquarium. It should be delivered to me in about a week - very exciting isn't it!
I understand that I need the water to settle etc and I am reading topics about that on the forum. But if anyone on the forum lives or knows Northamptonshire in England, could they possible advise of where to go for a good selection of tropical fish.
Thanks

there's a maidenhead aquatics in northampton I think

http://www.fishkeeper.co.uk/store_details.php?storeid=30

they're a big chain but generally quite reliable and helpful. :good:

your best bet is to just shop aroundf and find out for yourself, stick fish shops northampton into google and get a load of places nearby, then spend a day travelling round, compare prices and stock and check the health of the fish, ask a load of questions and you'll soon start to work out where is decent :D have fun

Hi there,

I used to live in Northamptonshire up to 4 years ago:

Maidenhead Aquatics at Harlestone Heath (on the Northampton to Althorp road)

Fish Are Us (in the Wyevale Garden centre in Wellingborough, just off the A45)

And if you want to travel a bit further:

The Waterzoo in Peterborough

Mr Fish in Bedford

There's plenty of others, just these are the ones I visited on a regular basis

Andrew
