Wow I never realised how many were from the US on here
Queensland Australia here
pretty sure you areAm I the only Thai people here?
You can go to Queensland and see the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) or you can come to Western Australia and visit Ningaloo Reef. They have similar things and Ningaloo is nowhere near as commercialised as the GBR, and it's a lot cheaper then the GBR.I have always wanted to go to Australia. @Colin_T, how was it like down there before COVID-19? (I’ve always wanted to see the Great Barrier Reef)
Can you Scuba Dive there? You can go to Queensland and see the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) or you can come to Western Australia and visit Ningaloo Reef. They have similar things and Ningaloo is nowhere near as commercialised as the GBR, and it's a lot cheaper then the GBR.
Ningaloo has more whale sharks.
There is coral reef up and down the west and east coast of Australia, as well as across the top. But there are chocodiles up north so you don't go in the water up there.
If you want really nice coral reef, go off the east coast of Papua New Guinea. They have some of the most pristine reefs in the world and the water is crystal clear for hundreds of meters.
Sweet, I might have to go there one day when I win the lottery! You can snorkel and scuba dive at all 3 places (GBR, Ningaloo and PNG).
Ningaloo comes straight off the beach and is becoming quite popular with families because there are dolphins that come to shore to be fed. It's also quite calm there and kids can snorkel over the reef in 3 feet of water.
The families and tourists are encouraged to Ningaloo, but the locals go a bit further north or south of the hot spots and there are the same reefs but without as many people.
I always wanted to go snorkeling but last time after I do that Im sick because of pee in the sea.You can snorkel and scuba dive at all 3 places (GBR, Ningaloo and PNG).

I agree - that's a really silly thing to do. And its probably all the supposedly "reef safe" sun cream that made you sickWhy are you drinking sea water?
Find a beach without any people and that isn't near a sewerage outlet or shipping channel.
