Where has Jenny gone?

I've been on a few forums, and people just have things happen, and vanish. You never know what's going in - pregnancies, sicknesses, job changes, rough patches in life, falling in love and losing touch with all important fish life, new jobs, etc. For better or worse, our circumstances change and a lot of good voices wander off. Online life is no substitute for real community where you still meet people even if the narrow focus that brought you together changes. I keep in touch with friends I made in aquarium clubs that meet in person, even if they no longer keep fish. But here, we meet around one subject.

Several years ago I vanished offline for a few weeks.

Very simple explanation.

I lost my temper with my pooter cos it was playing silly wotsits and refused to cooperate with me so I lobbed it out the window.....2 floors up and without opening the window first.

Did you actually throw it out an enclosed window or was that an exaggeration? 😲😐

I actually did lob the pooter out 2 floors up and without opening the window first

My landlord was surprisingly calm about it.....he understood the frustration with a pooter misbehaving. I paid for the new window and all was good

Thesedays I only threaten to lob the pooter out of the window when it misbehaves....mainly since I am on the ground floor and cos the landlord might not be so calm where I live now.

I have a love/hate relationship with technology like pooters......they love to hate me.

What makes you frustrated with them? What's usually the cause?

I hate technology....100% technophobe

If something does not do as its told, it gets threatened with a sledgehammer or disposal

Patience is not a virtue that I have in infinite quantities....never have, never will.

Quite frankly whoever stated that a pooter makes life easier and quicker should be removed from their hiding place, taken outside and shot with paintballs where it hurts the most for telling blatant lies.

:p

Well, technology is only as perfect as whoever made them and nobody is perfect... Technology is also only as forgiving as whoever uses them... For the most part, every "error" on my devices have been my fault... I just needed to find the root cause... The only exception is my tablet, which is a cruddy $30 piece of junk and should be thrown off a cliff.

True, but its weird that she would just do that without saying anything... I mean she can do whatever she wants obviously but it just seems strange is all
I change my username without saying anything
I figured people would find out just by looking at my posts/profile

Sad to see her go - but I myself have been on weeks, sometimes months, sometimes years hiatus.

It has nothing to do with answering young/newbies questions (I myself am 28 and started participating on this forum when I was... 16?). It is entirely dictated by my life stage. Currently I have more tanks than ever and am purposefully breeding for profit - there have been times when I have no tanks.

With three boys under 5 and my wife & I working full time, we don't have a lot of time for "distractions" so to speak.
