Well I don't keep track of my fish 24/7 but i think he sleeps in the T pvc pipe shown as my avatar. He

Many of mine enjoy lazing around in the plants, so i think they sleep there as well.

Blue- he likes places where there is light gravel or even none, and his little cave! he is soo cute in the cave! lol
Archie- he likes to also sleep in light gravel or none, and next/behind his decoration rock/plant

i have 5 males
2 of them sleep in the gravel, 3 of them sleep on silk leaves from the fake plants i gave them

My DeT sleeps in his PVC cave, my CT sleeps in this rock cave, Every morning wheni turn the lights on they crawl out of their caves like little bats. 
lol i know what you are talking about the "little bat thing"
when i get home from school i give them their dinner/lunch and they are like always sleeping when i come home and i will peer into the tanks and then they will spurt right to the top, well archie does, blue just sleeps in unless he is really hungry lol

I'm not sure if they are "asleep" or not, but mine take extended periods of rest.
Han, he is most often at the far, left corner of his box..behind the plant base.
Som, he is usually on the 2nd tier of leaves, or directly underneath the plant.
Yom, he likes to curl up in a leaf, usually towards the top layer.
Det, likes to wedge himself between a leaf and the side of the tank, right at the very top..he's usually got his back sticking out of the water. lol
Sot, is generally laying on a leaf..looks like he preferes one that isn't around any others...like he is perched on a shelf lol.
Toy, likes to sit on teh bottom, up front. But occassionallysits on a leaf.
Sao, likes to lay on the plant base itself. Silly girl has a soft silk plant...and she lays on teh hard, lumpy base lol.
Dee, likes to lay on the bottom.
Tip, sometimes she lays close to the stem of the plant..tetering there. But most often she is at the surface of the water on the tip of a leaf.
Fai, I don't think this fish ever sleeps or is ever still. It's no wonder he keeps his tail in shreds. I thought he had fin rot..but now I am leaning towards him blowing it.
Mao, left back corner in a section of gravel that is hollowed out from pouring water in lol.
Rom, usually right up front..so he can feel you coming...that way he can't miss a meal.
