I was just wondering where some of you guys are employed at, and what your job description is. I'm 16, and I work at Panera Bread (if you are from St. Louis, it'd be the St. Louis Bread Company). I am able to ring up people, open and close the bakery, make coffee drinks, work dinning room, close dinning room, work and close dishes, and work and close the Soup, Salad, and Sandwich Line. I get paid minnimum wage, which here in Illinois would be 8 dollars an hour. I get good hours, and I love my job. I get free soda, coffee and tea whenever I want, and I get a 65 percent discount when I'm working (or a manager is being nice). It's really been a please to work there.

SO, what about YOU? (Yes you !)

I work in a childrens centre, which entails looking after children in my room aged between 6 weeks and 2 1/2 years. taking care of the planning of the room and all the different developmental areas. I am also responsible for following, documenting and planning to progress the development of 7 individual children.I love my job. I am just looking into doing an early years degree at the moment.

In an office in London. If I'm honest the job itself is quite dull BUT the people I work with a genuine and hilarious.

I;m a criminal solicitor work for a busy law firm in Birkenhead and spend every day in the court, police station or just answering one of the 50 or so calls I get every day from my "regulars" who are panicking about what may or may not happen to them!!!

Its a decent job and I do get to do some interesting things but the pay and prospects are not what I anticipated when I did ,y degree etc all those years ago

I'm a senior software developer / tech lead and am currently working from home in Norwich for Homeserve, with the occasional trip every other week or so to Preston or Walsall for project workshops and handovers...I've been working in this field since finishing an engineering degree and post grad diploma in 1998.

I love the work as I am a true techy geek, but really can't stand the politics found in most companies, hence I am now contracting rather than being a permanent member of staff so I can just ignore all the rubbish and get on with the work, for the most part - plus the pay is so much better so long as you're in work anyway :)

i'm a registered adult nurse working on a EAU dept, dealing with anything and everything that walks, crawls, wheels through the doors.

i work at the front desk of a local hotel.
this is actually my second hotel and third year in the business.

i actually went to school for history, but i have discovered over the last three years i like this business. when ppl come on vacation they are happy, and having a good place to sleep is part of that happiness.

guess my dad was right, the first job out of college does determine your path.

Does fatherhood count?

It's harder than any job I've ever had, longer hours, always on call, very tiring, so much that most of the time I'm left wishing I had a normal job so I could get a break from it.

However it's also the most rewarding job too.
