Where Can I Get A Nice Natural Stone Or Rock?

For my planted tank I wanted a rock, something tallish not flat, I'd like to grow some moss or something on it. Where can I get something like that?

Garden centre's are good, local forest if they clean up well

Lava rock is good, i got some really tall bits and because there full of holes the plants love to twist around

Expensive although handy for some types of rocks/stones lol.

Go for a walk by the river, pick up some rocks from there, just check for any local bylaws that prohibit this before hand though.

I've never bought rock for a tank. Rivers, streams and lakes I get mine from.

for years i collected all kinds of rocks and stones and stone-like ornaments that other aquarists were selling for one reason or another.. i don't know if you have something similar to craigslist or freecycle in the UK. any of the little "classified" ad booklets that they let you pick up for free at the grocery store?
