Where Can I Buy Cherry Shrimp Around Birmingham (uk)

You can get them on ebay but im not from that area so i wouldnt know other wise.
Hope that helps.

I have been looking as well (I'm in kent) and I think the only option is to get them online.

Try pm Sharon (shaz3271). I think she breeds them.

whereabouts in Kent are you? I bought half a dozen cherry shrimp from Maidenhead Aquatics in Polhill Garden Centre about 3 weeks ago.

They had both cherries & amano to choose from.

Thanks! I live in the South East so normally go to the Ramsgate one which is about 45mins from me (and a brilliant shop with great staff btw). The Polhil one is actually only about an an hour and a half drive away so I will go and take a look at the weekend :) (I never thought about checking how far away from me the other stores actually where).

I was just going to get Amano shrimp that are available in my other LFS but would much prefer Cherry shrimp and I'm a big fan of the maidenhead stores so like to give them my money whenever possible :)

Thanks for the responses, I know there's a couple of ebay sellers who sell cherry shrimp too but I don't like the idea of posting them. Amanos definately seem to be a lot easier to find now than a year or 2 ago, hopefully cherry shrimp will become more popular soon as well :)

Hi -Ian-

Are your shrimp settling in to their new home okay??

How many did I actually put in the bag in the end.. im pretty sure it was more than the 10 you asked for ;)

Sorry to go off topic but do you keep your Cherry shrimp in their own tank? I got 12 at the weekend and they have pretty much vanished (which I expected). Only thing I'm worried about though is if they will get enough food (lots of algae at the moment but this is all dying off).

Also for breeding is there anything special I can do? From what I have read as long as they are reasonably happy they will breed like rabbits.

Edit: Never mind. I saw the answer to almost exactly the same question on your for sale post :)

i live near alton towers and have a pair of pregnant tiger shrimp if the fry pull through ill gladly sell some (Y)
