So the time has come to pick all my new plants for my new tank I'm setting up on Thursday. I wanted to use Aqua Essentials because I had some really nice stock from them last time and with express delivery you can pretty much pick the day they're delivered but I'm on the site at the moment and I swear nearly every plant I click on is "out of stock". I don't know what's going on with them at the moment but it's starting to do my nut now. Can anyone recommend anywhere else that has a good quality good selection and does express delivery?

plants alive i use and there good.

also on the forum what are you after?

check out a guy on ebay and thw net called watermarque if your after anubias as well as others he has some great plants

I'm not sure, I'm no good with planning in my head. I'm just going to buy plants I like the look of of varying heights and then design the scape as I go. I seem to work better like that, then when it's set up I can see more clearly what else I need.

Thanks for the tip! :)

When Aqua Essentials say "can be kept in a high light environment", do they mean SHOULD be kept in a high light environment?

This for one: http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/bacopa-lanigera-p-2961.html

yes that one needs high lighting

I ordered some from Java Plants as they were the only supplier I could find who sold the two species I wanted. However, they do import from Asia so be aware of possible pesticides, and it does take a while for the plants to arrive as they send all their orders out at once to Singapore on a Thursday, they arrive in the UK on Monday and are then sent out by mail. So if you order on a Friday you might be waiting nearly two weeks to get them.

Ok, so as I'm not really sure what I want I thought I might go with this for now: http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/mixed-box-20-pots-for-a-125l-tank-p-5358.html

I'm also going to add 5 pots of another plant that took my eye (though thise one says it's ok for low light).

I think this might be the best idea for me right now. Then I can see what I've got and work with what they give me and then if I want to add anything else at the end I can. Does anyone have any good/bad experience with ordering a collection like this?

i ordered a collection (not potted) the 32" collection of plants alive i think it was. some of the plants grew and took over the tank so i had a change around and iv now kept about 3 different plants out of 10 types i received  that was my first tank with plants :good:
